Lake Clearwater is an easy 90 min drive from Christchurch, follow the A1 south of Chch, to Rakaia, then follow the signs for Mt Sumers along the Thompsons Track. Then at Mt Sumers (A79 inland route) follow the signroad to Lake Clearwater. Approx 33km from Mt Sumers, the last 12km on a fine gravel road.....
